Bloom Energy are makeing power cells based on sand :)

They say soon they will be able to sell it for everyday consumers not just the big companies.

This kind of technology is curently being used in spaceships mostly and satalites, witch leads me to belive that there is probably something better out there if someon decided to sell this now :D
It;s too bad we hadn't started doing stuff like this 30 years ago. Well their is still hope for us yet.

I always wanted to set up a factory in the desert where robots mine sand and make the components to make robots who then mine sand and use it to make components for robots who then mine sand and use it to make components for robots who then mine sand...

ReplyDeleteyup, they're selling us the leftovers. i think the main reason for this is the price. almost all the new technological equipment is very expensive. the only way to lower the cost is to mass produce.
